POSITION SUMMARY:

The Electrician Journeyman responsibilities include completing all tasks assigned by the master electrician, which may include reading blueprints, diagnosing electrical problems, and repairing electrical systems. You will also help to install new electrical systems for our clients. This will involve laying wires, installing fixtures, assembling various components throughout the system, and calibrating electrical systems and equipment.

• Logging time and resources spent on each task to calculate costs.

• Ability to install and maintain smart home security systems.

• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Eagerness to learn technical manual, blueprint, and schematic reading skills

• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment

• Ability to use hand/power tools and test equipment to diagnose problems

• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment

• Analytical ability and willingness to accept and learn from criticism

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Hold a current Minnesota Journeyman card.

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Practical experience working with electrical systems and equipment preferred

• Completion of electrician training program preferred

• Knowledge of NEC electrical codes preferred

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
