
Support Enforcement Aide
Otter Tail County is accepting applications for a Support Enforcement Aide. The purpose of the position is to provide support to the Child Support Collection Unit. Under general supervision, this position enters data into the computer system in order to generate billing statements, required statistics for federal and state reports and finding and case management reports; monitors accounts for compliance with court ordered payment plans; and performs other related work as assigned. To analyze court orders for enforcement actions, perform paralegal functions related to legal enforcement, locate absent parents, review posting, and disbursements of dollars collected. Responsibilities include reviewing case files to ensure all enforcement methods are used, verify all updated information gathered is contained in such files, ensure that information relating to specific cases is properly entered into the computer and to act on requests from the court, county attorney, clients, other agencies, states, and employers to ensure processing is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Examples of Duties:
- Manage and monitor enforcement cases after income withholding is determined
- Implement income withholding on enforcement cases upon referral from Child Support Officer
- Implement medical support and insurance provisions on enforcement cases
- Manage, monitor and enforce medical support on enforcement cases
- Conduct and respond to client, employer, and other inquiries
- Accept payments form clients
- Document case actions and maintain state mandated codes
- Monitor accounts on enforcement cases and initiate adjustments
- Review cases to refer for modification actions when current Order may not be appropriate
- Utilize computer systems for case specific work including Prism, CaseWorks, Maxis, MMIS, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, MN Government Access, Electronic Court Filing, Online Child Support Portal and electronic mail.
- Utilize Prism as the case management system, including time documentation, case notes, documents and other systems as applicable.
- Administrative tasks
- Attend staff and supervisor/supervision meetings as scheduled
- Attend conferences as scheduled or agreed upon with supervisor
- Attend trainings as related to job responsibilities
- Complete documentation, agency timesheets, and employee records in a timely manner
- Communicate schedule changes with supervisor
- Utilize the call-in line and status (In/Out) Board consistently to keep agency staff aware of availability
- Perform other duties as assigned
- May assist with duties and responsibilities as outlined in the County Emergency Operations Plan and Continuity of Operations Plan.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of administrative support or related work experience
- Driver’s license valid in the State of Minnesota
Supplemental Information:
This is a full-time, 40 hr/wk position, and generally the work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30 p.m. The 2025 starting salary is $22.94 per hour, depending on qualifications, with career advancement to $34.40 per hour.
